This is the recommended choice for small divisions (6 teams or less), or divisions where all teams are theoretically equal in skill level and there are enough games in the season for every team to play every other team. There is also a scheduling option for round robin divisions which essentially splits the division in half, if there are only enough games for each team to play half of the other teams.
Division standings are based on win/loss record.

The Rating Percentage Index is a simple system for rating teams based on their winning percentage, their opponents' winning percentage, and their opponents' opponents' winning percentage. It is commonly applied to NCAA basketball and baseball.
With the RPI system, ratings are re-calculated on a daily basis, taking into account the strength of each team's schedule.
